Funeral services for Emma Jayne "E.J." Koerner, 99, of Clarksville, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Scott Funeral Home, with burial in Eastern Cemetery. She passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013.. E.J. was born on Sept. 28, 1914, in Clinton, Ind., to the late Willis A. and Jessie Satterlee. She was co-owner of Cliff's Market in Jeffersonville and a member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being part of their quilting circle. She was a member of the Jeffersonville Chapter of the Eastern Star #327, St. Joe Homemakers and was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford E. Koerner; a daughter, Cynthia Talley; five sisters and one brother.. She is survived by her loving family, a son, John A. Koerner and his wife Nancy; and two grandsons, Chris Koerner and Scott Koerner.. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Park Memorial United Methodist Church's Blessings in a Backpack. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home..
