Eva Christena "Teenny" Munk Obituary

Eva Christena "Teenny" Munk, 84, peacefully passed at home on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

A faithful Christian and a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt, grandma, and great grandma, Teenny dedicated her life to helping others. If a community member was in need, Teenny found a way to lend a hand, say a prayer, or deliver a homemade pie. Homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, and the famous Teenny burgers, coined from Teenny's Ice Cream and Sandwich Shop, are just a tiny part of the legacy she has left behind.

Born on December 24, 1933, in Henryville, IN, she was the daughter of late James and Hazel (Lucas) Guthrie.

On June 29, 1952 in Henryville, IN, she married McKee Munk who preceded her in death on August 30, 2009.

Survivors include daughter Robin, son Jay (Fran); six grandkids, Amanda Riggins (Kyle), Jared Hill (Adrienne), Shallon Pait (Matt), Cody Munk (Ashley), Cory Munk, Cady Munk and eight great grand children plus two more on the way. Additional survivors are, sister Marie (Charles) Smith, brothers Ralph Guthrie, Jimmy (Martha) Guthrie, Leroy (Sue) Guthrie and sister in law Louise Guthrie and many nieces and nephews.

Teenny was a 1952 graduate of Henryville High School and spent many years working at Guthrie's Building Supply, coaching volleyball at Henryville High School, owning and managing Teeney's restaurant named after her, driving a school bus, serving her church and community, and being a "mama" to so many more than just those that were her own grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law Terry Hill, siblings Anna Guthrie Woods, Alice Guthrie Steele, Warren "Bud" Guthrie and Ernest Guthrie.

Pastor Denny Dillman will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Henryville Community Church, 115 Lake Rd., Henryville, IN 47126, with burial to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, both visitations at Henryville Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Mt. Lebanon Cemetery,
