New Albany, Indiana - Evelyn "Ebbie Juliot" Carroll, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday January 17, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. She was born in New Albany to the late Ruth and James Hunter and was a proud graduate and member of the New Albany High School Class of 1957. Ebbie married Sam Juliot, love of her life and father to their children in 1958. He preceded her in death in 1992. Ebbie was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church and she retired from the Indiana University Southeast Bookstore. She was a proud supporter of the Bulldogs as well as Hallmark and Macy's, but above all else, she loved spending time going out to eat with her family and friends, especially her Class of '57 classmates. You rarely went anywhere with Ebbie without her running into someone she knew even when she was out of town.

Besides her 1st husband and parents: Ebbie was preceded in death by her second husband, Jay Carroll; her infant daughter, Ann Juliot; and her brother, Jay Hunter.

Ebbie is survived by her sons: Eric Juliot (Beth) and Gregory Juliot (Pako), her daughter: Ellen Miller (Chris), her brother: Chas Hunter (Judy), her grandchildren: Nicholas Juliot (Amanda), Zachary Juliot (Lisel), Haley and Tristan Young and Christopher Miller, her great-grandchildren: Samantha and James Juliot, and several cousins.

A Celebration of Ebbie's life will be held at 11 AM Friday January 23, 2026 at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St.) with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 - 7 PM Thursday and from 9 - 11 AM Friday before the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church Compassion Fund.
