New Albany, Indiana - Forest Junior "Junie" Hall, 87, of Underwood, IN, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Providence Nursing Home in New Albany, IN.

Born on December 12, 1930 in Underwood at home, he was the son of Forest Foster Hall and Mary (Rigsby) Hall.

Junie was a 1949 Henryville High School graduate and served in the United States Army serving during the Korean War where he was a Purple Heart recipient.

He retired in 1989 from the U.S. Postal Service as rural letter carrier working in Henryville, Underwood, and Scottsburg and was a member of the former United Methodist Church in Underwood. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

On January 29, 1954, he married Thelma Edith (Roberts) Hall who survives in New Albany at Providence Nursing Home.

Other survivors include three children, Mike (Linda) Hall of Louisville, KY, John Alan (Lovette) Hall of Henryville, IN, and Cari (Ron) Jackson of Underwood, IN; 12 grandchildren, Amber Hall, Brandon Hall, Josh Hall, Brandon (Julie) Conrad, Stewart Rust, Chris (Lauren) Rust, Levi (Amanda) Hall, Yulanda (Christpher) Bruck, Dustin (Emily) Hall, Brittany (Caleb) Winstead, Courtney Jackson, Seth Jackson; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five siblings, Poochie Hall, Pauline Bannister, Paul Hall, Joann Basham, and Howard Hall; one great-granddaughter, Allie Marie Hall.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville with burial to follow at Clark's Chapel Cemetery in Underwood, IN.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
