Funeral services for Garnett O. 'G.O.' Burns, 71, of Salem, will be at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 26, at Dawalt Funeral Home, Salem, with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem. He died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Schneck Medical Center of Seymour.. He married July 4, 2000 to Nancy Ann Turner Burns.. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Turner Burns; a son: Jeffrey W. Burns and his wife, Teresa, of Fairfield, Ohio; two daughters, Lorna Dee Carty and her husband, David, of Salem and Robin R. Fitzgerald, of Louisville; a brother, Wilbert Burns, of Jeffersonville; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Owen Burns; and a sister, Edna Burns Harlan.. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. today, at the funeral home.
