Gewinell F. "Dixie" Goodwin, 99, passed away Friday Jan. 10, 2020 at the Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. She was the former Dixie Camp, born in Marshall County, Alabama, and retired from the Hoosier Cabinet Company after more than 30 years of service. Dixie loved quilting, gardening, cooking and most of all, caring for babies. She was a member of the Charlestown Road Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years: J.B. Goodwin, her parents: Ebb and Tollie Camp, her great granddaughter: Avery Scott, and her siblings: Howard, Homer and Dessie Camp, Toressie Gladin and Bessie McCrary.
Survivors include:
Her son: Jerry Goodwin(Marion), 3 daughters: Debi Troncin(Steve), Carolyn Faith(Dr. Steve), and Sherry Severns(Ron), Her sister: Lila Davis, 2 Brothers-in-law: Walter Goodwin and David Hardiman, 8 Grandchildren: Jerry Goodwin II(Anna), Stefani Scott(Sam), Christin Paul(Dan), Stephen Faith Jr.(Susi), Amy Gibson(Will), Brad Troncin(April), Joe and Mathew Clark, 19 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
A celebration of Dixie's life will be held at 10 AM Wednesday Jan. 15, 2020 at the Charlestown Road Baptist Church(2404 Charlestown Road) with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E. Market St.) from
2 - 8 PM Tuesday and at the church from 9- 10 AM Wednesday before the service. Memorial Gifts may be given to the Charlestown Road Baptist Church.

I only now learned of Dixie's death. I am so sorry. She was a special person and a good friend to me. I loved her dearly. God bless you all.

Don Lawrence was the person told me. He also just learned about Dixie. He said that she was a special lady to him and he will always remember her.
