Helen Marie Bridges, 91, of Memphis, IN, passed away at 9:42 PM at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center at Nortons in Louisville, KY.

Born July 31, 1925 in Memphis, IN, she was the daughter of William Hamm and Mabel (Abbott) Hamm.

On December 29, 1951 in Henryville, IN, she married William Edward Bridges who preceded her in death.

Helen was a 1943 Silver Creek High School Graduate. She was a businesswoman and homemaker. She enjoyed working, cooking, gardening, and tending to her flowers.

Survivors include, 3 children, Michael (Denise) Bridges of Henryville, IN, Teresa (Richard Drake) Bridges of Toledo, OH, Kevin (Karen) Bridges of Memphis, IN, 4 grandchildren, Derrick Bridges of Louisville, KY, Sara Drake of Los Angeles, CA, Blake Bridges of Clarksville, IN, and Patrick Drake of Washington, D.C., 2 step grandchildren, Stephanie Potts of Sellersburg, IN and Trevis Lanham of Sellersburg, IN, 3 step great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Theodore (Carolyn) Hamm of Memphis, IN.

She was also preceded in death by 3 siblings, John Hamm, Nancy Hamm & William Bud Hamm.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville, IN with entombment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 and after 9:00 AM on Wednesday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville.
