Helen Frances Henderson Obituary

New Albany, Indiana - Helen DeVore Henderson passed on March 2nd at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home, age 92.

Helen never met a person she didn't see the good in. People always commented on her bright and loving smile, even up to the end. She was a proud 1951 graduate of New Albany High School. She was a devoted lifelong Catholic and member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She retired from the Finance Department of the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville.

She was the wife of the late Donnie Eugene Henderson, beloved mother of Jill Trinkle (John), Jan Hamilton (Jimmy), Gary Henderson (Melanie), and was also the proud grandmother of Chris Pendleton, Carey Henderson (West Sheets), Megan Henderson (Chris Davis), Kasey Hammel (Ryan), late Katie Trinkle Roll, Kyle Hamilton (Katelyn), Tori Harper (Paul), and Courtney Kriz (Chase). She was the second-born of six children, survived by brother Joseph "Buddy" DeVore (Sherry) and sister Jeanie McKinley. Also survived by sisters-in-law Ann DeVore and Diane Neanover (Bobby).


Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on March 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.


A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana, on March 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.
