Irene M. Lichtefeld-Neff, 95, South Bend, IN passed away on July 14, 2024. Born in New Albany on Jan. 24, 1929, she was one of 10 children.

She was a well known EA tax accountant with a large clientele in the Naples, Florida area. She traveled the state, lecturing for the IRS. And at one time the IRS wanted her to go to Washington, to which she replied, "No Thanks." She also held Small Business Workshops for the IRS as well as being a guest speaker on a WNOG radio financial program.

She was quite active in the Catholic church and later at the Presbyterian church. She was active in the Zonta Club of Naples and had the satisfaction of serving the young through the South Florida District Optimist Club.

After losing her first husband, Fred R. Lichtefeld, who had suffered an extended illness, she continued her business until retiring. During this time, she remarried and traveled extensively. As her health deteriorated, she and her devoted husband found it necessary to leave their beloved home in Naples and moved back to Indiana into a retirement facility.
