Funeral services for James Duane "J.D." Hardsaw, 90, Laconia, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Otterbein Cemetery. He died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Beard's Assisted Living near Laconia.. He was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Harrison County, to the late James Blaine and Daisy Pearl Amy Hardsaw. He was a retired foreman from American Standard in Louisville and was a U.S. Army veteran.. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Sharlene Faith Hardsaw; sons, James Frank "Jimmy" Hardsaw and his wife, Linda, Gary Lynn Hardsaw and his wife, Teresa and Gerald "Pete" Hardsaw and his wife, Susie; daughters, Gloria Jean Farnsley and her husband, Gary Ray and Rebecca Sue Menges and her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Jamie Miller, Jennifer Robson, Ryan Farnsley, Alisha Hess, Jason, Joe, Autumn, Josh, Michael and Tim Hardsaw, Riley, Aidan and Adalyn Menges, and Monica Owsley; and great-grandchildren, Shane and Kendall Miller, Jared and Brooklyn Robson, Harper Hess, Jack Farnsley and Carter Hardsaw.. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, William Harold, Frank, Blaine, Ralph, David and Arlis Hardsaw; and his sister, Bertha Amy.. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.. The family requests that expression of sympathy be made to the Otterbein Cemetery Fund.
