Funeral services for James Richard "J.R." Moss, 84, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Kraft Funeral Chapel on Charlestown Road with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. He died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.. He was born Aug. 27, 1927, in New Albany, to the late James and Edna (Byerly) Moss. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a technician for the old Indiana Bell and retired from South Central Bell after 38 years. He was a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28 in New Albany. Survivors include his wife Catherine Moss; children Julie Conrad and Deborah Spurlock; step-children Douglas Keller Jr. and Shannon Keller; grandchildren Seth Spurlock, Sarah Conrad, Hollie Conrad, Hannah Henderson, Ashley Craig, Catie Hill and Christopher Keller; great-grandchildren Jaelyn Lawhorn, Braydon Lawhorn, Isabella Conrad, Lillian Hill, Angelina Palomeres, Daniel Palomeres and James Craig.
