Captain James T. McReynolds, 77, of Henryville, IN, passed away at 3:09 AM on Thursday April 4, 2019 at BeeHive Homes of Georgetown, IN.

Born March 8, 1942 in Auburn, KY, he was the son of Chester McReynolds and Bonnie (York) McReynolds, who both preceded him in death.

On November 11, 1962 in Jeffersonville, IN, he married Jeanne Raney McReynolds who survives in Georgetown, IN.

James was a 1961 Jeffersonville High School graduate and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Henryville. He retired from Clark County Sheriff's Office as the Captain of the 3rd Shift Road Officers. He also worked at Kentucky & Indiana Railroad. James enjoyed camping, horses, and horseback riding.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jeanne (Raney) McReynolds of Henryville, IN, 1 daughter, Carla McReynolds and her fiancé Michael Oliver, both of Henryville, IN, and 1 granddaughter, Ericka (Metcalf) Fouch (Brian) of Henryville, IN.

He was also preceded in death on June 28, 2017 by his two grandchildren, Adalynn Noel Fouch and Wyatt James Isaac Fouch.

Father Harry Tully will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Henryville, with burial to follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville and after 10:00 AM on Tuesday until the service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
