Janice V. (Ogden) Jerrell, 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024 at her home in Hardinsburg, IN surrounded by loved ones.

Janice was born on August 20, 1942 to Harry B. and Nora LaHue Ogden at St. Edward's Hospital in New Albany.

She graduated from New Albany High School in 1960 and married Charles "Butch" Jerrell in November.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years; her children, Bryan (Susan) Jerrell of Scottsburg, Christopher Jerrell of Hardinsburg, Chad (Ashley) Jerrell of Salem, and Dana (Donnie) Pinnick of Hardinsburg. Grandchildren include Brandon (Abby) Jerrell of Scottsburg, Devan (Kelly) Jerrell of Salem, Darien (Krista) Woosley of Shelbyville, Cody Pinnick of New Albany, Matthew (Alexandra) Jerrell of Madison, Austin (Ansley) Jerrell of Salem, Alaina Pinnick of Goose Creek, SC, Ethan Pinnick of Longmont, CO, Seth (Kristen) Jerrell of Salem, Zachariah (Ciarra) Denham of Salem, Brileigh Denham of Salem, and Lakin Jerrell of Murfreesboro, TN. Other survivors include a great-grandson, Acen Jerrell; a brother, Donald Ogden of Fullerton, CA; sisters, Nadine (Delbert) Smith of New Albany, Shirley Rigsby of Clarksville, Patricia Bingham of Cincinnati, OH, Judith Ballard of New Salisbury, Linda Murphy of Hardinsburg, and Sandy (John) Friend of Kernersville, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Ogden; and sisters, Loeta Flener, Cara Taylor, and Vicky Benge.

Pastor Rodney Sweeney will officiate at the funeral service at Naville & Seabrook Funeral Home, 1119 E. Market Street, New Albany.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 and from 9 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, with burial immediately following at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park Park, New Albany.
