Clarksville, Indiana - Jean Marie Ellison Dooley, 95, passed from this life to her heavenly home on June 27, 2025 with her loving family surrounding her. She was born to Gertrude and Paul Ellison on December 6, 1929 in Jeffersonville, Indiana and was a lifelong resident there. She was married to Albert W. Dooley, Sr., the love of her life, on December 6, 1947. They were married for 61 years, until his passing in 2008.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jeffersonville. She loved Jeffersonville High School, University of Louisville and Indiana University basketball. She loved watching golf, figure skating and Bob Ross Painting on TV.

She spent hours reading her Bible and loved Jesus with all her heart. She showed love and provided encouragement to everyone around her.

Her biggest love was spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are sons Albert W. (Jack) Dooley, Jr. (Sherry), Joe Dooley (Kathy), daughter Lu Ann Conner (Ken) and daughter-in-law Roberta Dooley. She cherished her three granddaughters, Jill Duvall, SarahBeth Ewing, Kimberly Shields, and her three grandsons Paul Dooley, Jr., Albert Dooley, III, and Patrick Dooley. She was also the proud great-grandmother to 15 and great-great-grandmother to 11. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Paul Dooley Sr., her parents and her brother Paul Ellison, Jr.

Her celebration of life will be Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Her family would like to thank her special friends at Westminster who cared for her, and the Gentiva Hospice team who were an amazing group. A special thanks goes to her first-born grandchild, Jill Duvall, for providing such loving care to her Gang Gong in her final days.
