New Albany, Indiana - Jean M. Taurman passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on July 1, 1930 to the late George and Anna "Rosa" Radcliff, Jean was a lifelong resident of New Albany, Indiana.

Jean is lovingly remembered by her children, Ken "Sonny" Taurman (Cindy) and Susan Callahan (Mike); her grandchildren, Stephanie Kirchgessner (Joe), Ken "Trey" Taurman III (Emily), Chad Callahan (Jenny), and Cydney Young (Brandon); her great-grandchildren, Ross Kirchgessner and Colin Kirchgessner, Emersyn, Grayson, and Harrison Taurman, and Madeline Callahan, and her sister, Georgia C. Leonard.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Copler and Janet Dillow.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the caregivers of Charlestown Place Nursing Home and Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided to Jean.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Holy Family or The Salvation Army.

Visitation for Jean will be held on Friday, June 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Home, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany, Indiana.

Jean will be privately laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
