New Albany, Indiana - Joyce Arlene Jones, 91, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Autumn Woods Care Facility. She was born on June 3, 1933, in Jasper, IN.

She was a 1951 graduate of Ursuline Academy in Louisville, KY. She worked as Assistant to the Administrator at St. Anthony Medical Center for 25 years. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish. She and her husband were passionate campers. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Tomlinson (Jason) of Denton, TX; sons, David Jones (JoAnne Poe) of Palmyra, IN, Frank Jones (Alisa) of Yorktown, VA, and Albert Jones (Margaret) of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Parker (Danielle), McKenzie, Sani, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, August and Callin; brother-in-law, Hubert Ritchie of Clarksville; sisters-in-law, Catherine "Cookie" Jones of Jeffersonville, and Betty Jones of Jeffersonville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Jones; father, Frank Kress; mother, Philomena "Minnie" Kress; siblings, Virginia Summers, Mary Ann Wheeler, Sylvester "Bud" Kress, and Bernice Ritchie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
