Juanita Ann (Elrod) Stephens, 63, of Sellersburg, IN, passed away at 12:03 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Juanita was born Saturday, April 20, 1957 in New Albany, IN. She was the daughter of the late John L. Elrod and Juanita Ann (Jennings) Speer of Henryville, IN.

Juanita graduated in 1975 from Clarksville High School and was a Mid America College of Funeral Service graduate. She pursued her funeral service career in Missouri, and worked in many different positions throughout her life. She was the Human Resources office manager for Usher Trucking, worked with several different insurance companies, and her latest place of employment was working with her son at his business, Aaron's Plumbing, as the office manager. Aaron said she was a huge asset to his business, helping with all the details, keeping the books, ordering parts, and all the day to day operations of the plumbing business. Juanita enjoyed traveling the back roads to her destinations just to admire the scenery. She was a loving, caring person who was always giving of herself to others. Most of all she was a superb mom!

Other survivors include, the love of her life, her son, Aaron Elrod of Sellersburg, IN; and three siblings, John L. (Anne Marie) Elrod of Henryville, IN, Marlene Elrod of Henryville, IN, and Diane Speer of Scottsburg, IN.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Elrod and her stepfather, Fred H. Speer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville, with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020 and after 10: a.m.on Monday at the funeral home.
