Larry J. McKean, 74, of Henryville, IN, passed away at 5:52 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Baptist Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.

Born August 22, 1942 in Henryville, IN, he was the daughter of LeRoy Emmett McKean and Alma (Zimmerman) Kruer.

Larry served in the Air Force and retired from the Army National Guard, General Motors, and Cummins Engine Company. Larry enjoyed helping with the fish fry at St. Xavier Church, going to the YMCA & auctions, working puzzles & in the yard, mowing grass, fishing, and was always ready to help out his neighbors.

Survivors include 1 son, Jim (Patricia) McKean and 1 grandson, James Grant McKean, all of Elgin, TX, 2 siblings, Loretta Sue (Harold) Hays of Gulf Shores, AL and Zita Marie Cox of Vincennes, IN.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George Emmet & Gordon Michael Buck McKean and 2 sisters, Pauline Gale Olges & Betty Jo Banet.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville, IN. Burial will be at a later date.
