Clarksville, IN - Linda S. Cordy, age 75, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 6:48 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Born on January 3, 1950, in New Albany, Indiana, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Roy Lawrence Hunter and Eloise Shelton Hunter. She dedicated her life to helping others, working for many years as a special education teacher's aide. Her passion for education extended beyond the classroom — she served on the Clarksville School Board for eight years, advocating for students and staff with compassion and commitment.

Linda was a member of Colgate Baptist Church, where her parents were founding members. She had a generous spirit and a deep love for dogs. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and had a fondness for playing pinball with her son.

She is survived by her sons, Quentin Lee Cordy and Preston Lee Cordy; her cherished grandson, Austin Quentin Cordy; and her twin sister, Brenda Hunter. Linda will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to family and community, and her kind heart.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 W. Harrison Ave., Clarksville, IN 47129.

In honor of Linda, memorial donations may be made to the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter c/o Chapman Funeral home.

Linda's legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared. She will be deeply missed.
