Lisa Dickey, 65, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Lisa was a woman of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
An avid gardener, Lisa found joy in the beauty of the outdoors, tending to her flowers and embracing the simple wonders of nature. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting scent of freshly baked cookies, a reflection of the love she poured into every part of her life.
Lisa and her beloved husband of 44 years, Bob, built a beautiful life together—one that began with a chance encounter when she locked her keys in her car. That fateful moment blossomed into a lifetime of love, laughter, and family. She was affectionately known as Mimi to her cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wilson, and her dear grandson, Maxwell. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob; her children, Sarah Elizabeth Dickey-Dillman (Tim), Paige M. Murray (John), and Robert E. Dickey III (Hannah); her mother, Marilynn Wilson; and her adored grandchildren, Genevieve, Emery, Ellis, Henry, Everett, and Lettie. She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Rick Wilson (Karen), Dana Ross (Brian), and her twin, Leslie Ballenger (Eric).
Lisa's family has honored her wish for cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, with memorial service details to be shared in the coming days and weeks.
