Lynda Faye Keehn Obituary

Lynda Faye Keehn passed away peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord, Friday, Feb. 23, 2024. For the past two years her health had been failing and her loving and faithful husband, LeLand Keehn (Sonny), was there to care for her every day.

Lynda was born May 19, 1953 in Jeffersonville to the late Adolph and Edith Keup. She attended and graduated in 1971 from Jeffersonville High School.

Lynda married LeLand Keehn (Sonny) on May 12, 1973. She worked at the Jeffersonville K-Mart for 20- plus years and then worked for Walmart for more than five years. She was a very active member of the Christian Science Church of New Albany. She loved to bowl, for many years with her father. After his death she continued to be on two or three leagues at a time.

She was a member of the Hoosier Knobs C.A.R. Club. Lynda, her husband and her late mother-in-law and father-in-law (Cecil and Donetta Keehn) went on several car club overnight trips to Renfro Valley in Kentucky, bus tours to Hershey, Pennsylvania to the car show and swap meet (the ladies usually went to the local mall) and many, many local car shows.

She was very passionate about her music from the (Old) Grand Ole Opry, Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, Roy Clark, etc. Especially gospel music by Elvis, Bill Anderson, Roy Acuff, Loretta Lynn and many other great artists.

She had a love for cats and will be greatly missed by her beloved "Skeeter."

Survivors include her loving and caring husband, LeLand (Sonny) of 50 years; brother, Terry Keup of Lebanon, TN; sister, Rilla Mason of Jeffersonville; her ex-brother-in-law, Robert Nokes of Jeffersonville; her sisters-in-law, Rebecca Roth (Rick) of Huntsville, AL, Rhonda Tuttle (Floyd) of Pekin, and Pamela DuVall (late Steve) of New Albany; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, on Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. with her memorial service at 3 p.m. at the funeral center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Catalyst Rescue Mission, 1727 DL Motley Way, Jeffersonville, IN, 47130.
