Bloomington, IN - Margaret Eileen Willett Gage, age 86, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, November 2,2025 after a short illness at Stonecroft Health Campus Memory Care. Born September 2,1939 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, she was the daughter of Kenneth Stewart and Mildred Elizabeth (Parson) Willett. She was a native of Ferndale, Michigan and was a retired nurse recruiter for Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Margaret received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the University of Michigan where she met and married William "Bill" Lee Gage on February 4, 1961. She lived most of her adult life in New Albany, Indiana where she was a member of the "10" Club County Extension Homemakers, New Neighbors of Southern Indiana and was an alumnus of Psi Iota Xi Philanthropic Sorority.
Survivors include her daughter, Deanna (Mark) White, of Bloomington, Indiana, her son Dr. Scott William (Dr. Sandra) Gage, of Racine, Wisconsin, one brother, Bill (Pamela Willett, of Newaygo, Michigan, brother-in-law, Robert (Rose) Gage, of Michigan, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Osmun and two brothers, Kenneth Willett and Jim Willett.
Per Margaret's wishes, there are no services planned at this time.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
