Funeral services for Margaret Louise (Geary) Greene, 89, Henryville, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Henryville First Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Church. She passed away on Friday afternoon, April 29, 2016.

A loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and lady, Mrs. Greene was born in Pennsylvania on April 7, 1927 and graduated from Schuylkill Haven School at age 16. She attended Philadelphia Business School and while there, met William R. Greene who was attending University of Pennsylvania Medical School. They were married on Sept. 28, 1946.

Margaret was a dedicated Christian and was very active in her church, First Baptist Church, Henryville, Indiana. She taught Sunday School, led Children's Missions groups, sang in the adult choir and led WMU. She was active in the Woman's Missionary Union at the state level and served as State WMU president for a time. She was also active in the local Medical Auxiliary for wives of physicians.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years William R. Greene, M.D. and their daughter Karen Marie Greene Mackey. Survivors include daughters, Kathy L. Greene, Kendra L. Davis and husband Jim, son, William Kendall Greene and wife Demi; sister, Shirley Sherman and husband Bob; brother, Kenneth R. Geary, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville, and after 9 a.m. until service on Thursday at church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts will be donated to Margaret's favorite charities.
