Marilyn L. Martin (Sandbach), 84, of New Albany, IN passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was born in New Albany on July 30, 1940 to Raymond and Janette Sandbach.
Marilyn was a former member of the First Church of God for over 50-years and a current member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a servant to the Lord, a devout Christian and was always sure to practice her daily devotions. Marilyn retired from NAFCS as a health aide after 27 years of service. She always enjoyed cooking for her family, playing Bunco, and spending time with her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Spencer Martin; and sisters, Martha Carpenter and Janet Rynerson.
Family members left to cherish memories of her and celebrate her life are her husband of 64 years, Ronald Martin; sons, Rod Martin (Stephanie) and Brad Martin (Julie); daughter, Marsha Redford (Tim); grandchildren, Jordy Martin (Rachel), Kyle Krininger (Hayley), Cameron Martin, Tim Redford (Colleen), Peyton Martin, and Chloe Martin; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Whiteman (Kevin).
Services for Marilyn are being provided by and held at Naville & Seabrook Funeral Home, 1119 E. Market Street, New Albany. Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2025, from 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
