English, IN - Mark K. Knight, 71, of English, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Mark was born in New Albany, IN on May 14, 1954, to Eugene V. and Virginia J. (Porter) Knight of Sellersburg, IN.

Mark said some of his fondest memories growing up were spent with his brothers and friends at their childhood home, playing around their lake and climbing through probably the largest beech tree in Indiana. He was a graduate of Silver Creek High School and a retiree of Ford Motor Company where he worked for 31 years.

Mark had a lifelong love of squirrel hunting and anything to do with IU sports. He was an avid golfer, basketball and NASCAR fan, and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Alissa Knight (2013).

He is survived by his wife Dawn, married April 4, 2007, of English IN, son Keenan (Charity) of Shepherdsville, KY, daughter Kelly Beck (Jarrod) of Schnellville, IN, stepson Robert Rembold (Charissa) of Milltown, IN, brothers Rick of Albion, IL and Dennis (Mary) of Lakeland, FL.

Mark is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Whitney Knight (22), Brayden Beck (20), Carson Beck (16), Beckett Rembold (14), Grayson Knight (11), and Oliver Rembold (7).

He has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
