Clarksville, Indiana - Mary Anne (Radcliff) Embrey, 94, passed away peacefully at her residence in Clarksville, IN surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, May 28th, 2026. Born on June 12th, 1931 in Covington, KY to the late Clarence Radcliff and Ida (Smith) Radcliff. Mary Anne dedicated many years of service as the school secretary at McCulloch Elementary School in Clarksville IN until her retirement.
She is reunited in Heaven now with the love of her life, Bill and their son, Chip.
Mary Anne treasured time spent with family and friends, whether traveling with her husband Bill, gathering at their Patoka Lake cabin, or celebrating holidays together. She loved planning and decorating for every holiday taking great joy in creating special memories for those she loved. Known for her wonderful sense of humor and quick wit, she brought laughter and happiness wherever she went. Mary Anne and Bill's marriage was a remarkable bond that portrayed a true example of love, devotion and partnership building a life centered on family which will live on as their legacy of love for generations to come.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; beloved husband, William Dow "Bill" Embrey, Sr.; son, William Dow "Chip" Embrey, Jr.; sister, Carolyn Corcoran; and brothers-in-law, "Mac" McCloskey and T.A. Corcoran.
Left to cherish her memory; daughter, Sue Ann Stone and daughter-in-law Allison Embrey; grandchildren- Chris Corbett (Angela), Brittany Baker (Ty), Ryan Stone (fiancée Caitlyn), Dr. William "Trey" Embrey (Katie), and Erin Embrey; great grandchildren - Blake Corbett (Morgan), Embrey Baker, Chandler Baker, and Eli Baker; great-great grandchild soon to arrive, Luca Corbett; her sister, Beverly McCloskey and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Amedisys for the wonderful care these last months as well as her caregivers- Jill, Stephanie, Nancy and Phyllis.
Visitation will be held at the Market Street Chapel of the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes on Wednesday, June 3rd, from 12 PM - 1 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park.
