Mary "Kathy" Kathleen Farnsley, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025 at the age of 69. She was born on December 26, 1955, in New Albany, IN.

Kathy was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a deep love for music and found joy in playing games, which she often shared with her family. A gifted writer, Kathy published a children's book titled "This Little Piggy Named Pony," showcasing her creative spirit and passion for storytelling. Her dedication to writing was one of her proudest accomplishments, reflecting her desire to inspire and entertain young minds.

Family was at the heart of Kathy's life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Chaylon (Jason) Calloway; her devoted son, Chad Nicholson; and her cherished siblings, Larry Farnsley, Becky (Gene) Tucker, Doug (Nancy) Farnsley, Tommy (Janet) Farnsley, and Vickie (Rick) Sanders. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Kaileen (Austin) Fordyce, Kaiden Nicholson, Isley Napier, Lena Volpe, Haven Calloway, Audrey Nicholson, and Vincent Nicholson, as well as her great-grandchild, Revlynn Fordyce.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Farnsley, and her brothers, Bill, Paul, Donnie, and Joe Farnsley, along with her sister-in-law, Margaret Farnsley.

Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and a profound appreciation for family. Her spirit will remain forever etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. Her funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Salem.
