Mary K. (Micklick) Houghton, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Autumn Woods Health Campus.

She was born on July 14, 1948 to the late Pete and Cora Micklick. She retired from AT&T where she worked as a customer service representative for 40 years.

She volunteered for WHAS 11 Crusade for Children accepting pledges and working in a supervising role for 50 years. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Post #1348 in Jeffersonville and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was an avid trivia player and enjoyed lunch at her favorite restaurant, Orange Clover. She baked cakes each year for the Clark County 4-H Fair.

She is survived by her sisters, Paula DeHaven (Mike Muncy) of Jeffersonville, Barbara A. Lilly of Louisville and Teddy Andriot (Bob) of Louisville; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Houghton Sr. and son, John B. Houghton Jr.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Utica Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WHAS 11 Crusade for Children and/or Southern Care Hospice.
