Jeffersonville, Indiana - Mary Jane "Janie" Metzmeier,90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Saturday, August 31, 2024. She was born on November 10, 1933, to the late Ignatius and Mary Kress.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She retired from L & N and C.S.X. railroad companies. She was a member of the National Association of Railway Businesswomen.

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Charles Metzmeier of Jeffersonville, IN; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Raymond Kress.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 2-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-9:30 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home.
