Jeffersonville, Indiana - Mary Helen Stein Bowyer, 104, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on January 12th at Sellersburg Health Care. She was born in Jefferson County, Indiana and was a native of Jeffersonville, IN.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She was an excellent homemaker. She loved cooking for her family. She worked for Greater Clark County Schools as Cafeteria Manager at Maple Elementary. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a Master Quilter!

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elmo Bowyer, and sons, Jack Evan Bowyer and Garry Bowyer, her brother Gale Stein and sisters, Gertrude Maddox, Lucille Bowyer and Clara Monroe.

She is survived by her children Dick Bowyer (Phyllis), and Kendra Lewis (Warren), her brother Roy Dale Stein (Helen).

There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 18th at 2:30 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church, 222 Walnut Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana with a Memorial Service to follow at 4 p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home. For those wishing to share flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests that they be delivered to the church for the afternoon's services.

Expressions of sympathy may also be made in the form of contributions to Sharon Hill Cemetery (8936 W. Polk Rd., Lexington, IN 47138).
