Melinda "Mindy" Elizabeth Throckmorton Graessle, age 70, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Born on September 11, 1954 to the late William "Ted" and Alveda Throckmorton, Mindy was a woman of unwavering love, kindness, and dedication to her family and close circle of friends.
A proud supporter of Jeffersonville High School athletics, Mindy poured her heart into the Red Devils community, cheering from the stands with unshakable enthusiasm. She was also a devoted Indiana University basketball fan, always eager to support the Hoosiers through every season and complain about the coaching.
Mindy was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether through her warm hospitality or her love for cooking and hosting that she inherited from her mother. She also enjoyed posting on Facebook and reading all the opinions and arguments.
Mindy also enjoyed going to Daytona Beach with her husband and her always-full cooler of Miller Lite. She enjoyed laying by the pool and ocean working on her tan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Graessle; children, Brian LaDuke, Ryan Shui (Keith), and Alex Grasessle; grandchildren, Brylynn LaDuke, Paxton Shui, and Maddie Shui; brother, David Throckmorton (Debbie); nephew, DJ Throckmorton; aunt, Carolyn DeMichele; and multiple cousins.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until service time Monday, February 17, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway. Funeral services in honor of her life will be celebrated 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
