Georgetown, Indiana - Melvin Lloyd Brown, born on October 2, 1929, in Corydon, Indiana, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 96. He was retired from Ford Motor Company with over 30 years of service. Melvin was in the United States Marines and was stationed in Korea for much of his deployment.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Brown; wife, Virginia Brown; a son, Edward Brown; and siblings, Gerald Brown, Paul Brown, Aileen Litch; Cleo Litch, LaVern Cline, Earl Brown and Bonnie Brown.

Melvin is survived by a son, Randy P. Brown; a sister, Shirley Heishman; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, located at 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, 47150, on December 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Funeral service will follow at the same location on December 5, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm with burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery.
