Patricia "Pat" Boesing Obituary
New Albany, Indiana - Pat Boesing, one of the kindest, welcoming, gracious, selfless, hard-working, and fun people you will ever meet, went home on March 17, 2026.
Patricia Ann (Pat) Boesing, age 88, was born on May 8, 1937, in New Albany, Indiana. She attended St. Mary's elementary school in New Albany and was a member of the first full graduating class of Providence High School in 1955. She married Joseph Anthony Boesing, Sr, of Starlight, Indiana, on May 26, 1956. They were married for 67 years, until Joe's death in 2024.
Pat's life was dedicated to serving her family and community. Her special gift was hospitality. She was always planning, preparing, giving of her time and talents, and helping others. Her family dinners, especially at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, were filled with joy, love, and laughter. Everyone who met her immediately noticed her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. At the same time, she was also feisty, quick with a comeback, and fiercely independent.
She was an avid sports fan, especially of college basketball and tennis. She was a fixture at every sporting event of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with a box of popcorn in hand.
Joe and Pat were faithful members of Holy Family Catholic Church, and Pat was a member of the Holy Family Marian Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Anthony Boesing, and her parents, Marvin Stone and Catherine (Fox) Stone, all of New Albany.
Pat is survived by three sons, Joe A. Boesing, Jr. (Donna), Daniel M. Boesing (Terry), and John P. Boesing (Suzette); 10 grandchildren (Joseph Boesing III (Tiffany), Benjamin Boesing, Olivia Curry (Connor), Sarah Kelsey (Daniel), Micah Boesing, Rachel Strohbeck, Krista Lawson (Jonathan), Daniel Boesing, Nick Boesing, and Natalie Boesing); and six great-grandchildren (Beckham and Tatum Boesing, Lucy Kelsey, Reese, Sadie, and Hallie Curry, and we will be welcoming baby boy Curry in August).
The family wishes to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to their team of caregivers who loved, ministered to, and blessed Pat in her final years. Donna, Dee, Debbie, Jane, and Joyce, we will forever remember your dedication, professionalism, and compassionate care for our mother.
