Jeffersonville, Indiana - Patricia K. Elder, 84, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026.

Born on November 27, 1941, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Pat was the beloved daughter of Howard J. Kahl and Claire (McNulty) Kahl. She lived a life devoted to her family, faith, and community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, service, and love.

Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Elder, and by her parents.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Brewer (Danny), Kathy Elder (Matt Hofman), Scott Elder (Nikki), Karen Elder (Shelby Steege), and Ben Elder (Shannon). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Samuel Elder, Hailey Brewer, Lily Brewer-Bache (Ian Bache), Reece Elder, Kirstin Elder, Gabby Elder, Olivia Elder and Genevieve Elder, who brought immense joy to her life.

Pat is also survived by her siblings, Sissy Kamer (Marty), Bucky Kahl (Sara), and John Kahl, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Pat had a deep love for Jeffersonville and dedicated much of her life to serving and supporting her community. She was a faithful member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was active in many local organizations throughout the years. She proudly served with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, was a member of the Steamboat Days Festival Committee, Beta Omega Sorority, and the Jaycee Wives. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with loved ones, and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Nazareth Home Clifton, Eastern Star Home, and in particular Deondria Tillman, for their expertise, love and care.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130, and again on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 315 East Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.

Pat will be remembered for her unwavering faith, dedication to her community, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
