Henryville - Paul Leslie Braun, 91, of Henryville, IN, passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Born June 11, 1925 in Otisco, IN, he was the son of John David Braun and Clara Alice (Dieterlen) Braun who are both deceased.
Paul was a United States Navy Veteran who served during WW II enlisting on Sept. 13, 1943 and was honorably discharged on April 6, 1946.
On April 21, 1946 he married Doris D. (Dietrich) Braun who survives in New Albany, IN.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jane (Supamit Tic) Ariwongse of Henryville, IN, and Lynn B. (Dennis) Sollman of Owensboro, KY; four grandchildren, Lisa A. (David) Dietrich of Henryville, IN, Karen A. (Jeremy) DuMond of Houston, TX, Aaron Sollman of Nashville, TN, and Allison Sollman of St. Petersburg, FL; four great-grandchildren, Evan DuMond, Rowen DuMond, Lillian Dietrich, and Liam Dietrich; one brother, Dr. John R. Braun of Mt. Pleasant, S.C..
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred F. Akers, and a daughter, Joy Denise Braun.
Pastor Kayla Grehl will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at Henryville United Methodist Church with cremation to follow. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 3 until 8 p.m., at Adams Family Funeral and Crematory, Henryville, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
