Sellersburg, IN - Peggy Jean Foster, age 87, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 17, 1937, in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, to the late Ray and Maurine Bratcher.
Peggy dedicated many years of her life as a quality control inspector at The Powder Plant, where her strong work ethic and attention to detail were admired by all who worked alongside her. A devoted member of the former Springdale Methodist Church, Peggy's faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of her life.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and love for family time. Peggy found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life—boating and camping trips, sewing projects, visits to the casino boat, playing cards and moments shared with those she held dear.
Peggy's presence brought light and laughter into every room, and her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on through the many lives she touched.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 70 plus years, Marvin Foster; son, Terry Foster(Nancy); daughter, Dianna Henley(Edward); 5 grandchildren, Alyssia Collins(Jesse), Chase Henley(Heather),Eddie Henley(Angie), Tracy Vanhorn, Farrah Dillion(Duffy)along with 9 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Trace, Connor, Talon, Alton, Harper, Ethan, Tripp, Marley and 1 great-great-grandchild, Knox.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 11-1:30pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
