Tulsa, Oklahoma - Phyllis Ann James, 84, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, November 22, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. She was born on November 28, 1939, to the late Phil and Alberta Swartz in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a Surgery Technician at Clark Memorial Hospital and a member of Utica Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters Phyllis Hickerson of Milltown, IN, and Tami Askins of Tulsa, OK; son William Nunn of Tulsa, OK; along with 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband David Ray James and her parents.

A Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Utica Cemetery.
