Funeral services for Ray E. 'Ray Bob' Branham, 55, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. He died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.. He was a retired police officer for the Floyd County Sheriff's Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Lee Deich FOP Lodge 99 and Tunnel Hill Christian Church.. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Woods and her husband, Dan; his sister, Debbie Wells and her husband, Gary and their son, Justin; two grandchildren, Andrew and Anna; his stepmother, Nancy Ferree and her husband, Larry; his longtime companion, Myra Nicholson; his former wife, Sue Branham; and several other nieces and nephews.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary A. Branham and Hilda Hawkins.. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Memorial Gifts, The Lee Deich FOP Lodge 99 and the American Heart Association.
