Raymond "Kenny" Fabel, 79, of Henryville, IN, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his home.
Born January 22, 1939 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of Clyde Fabel and Lula (Brown) Fabel, who are both deceased.
On September 19, 1958 at the former, Hebron Presbyterian Church, he married Elizabeth "Libby" (Lewis) Fabel, who survives in Henryville.
Kenny was a service technician for office machines and owned and operated Scott County Office Equipment from 1969 to 1981. He was a 1957 Henryville High School graduate and served in the United States Air Force from March 10, 1958-June 12, 1962.
Kenny was a member of Henryville Presbyterian Church, Sellersburg Moose Lodge, and American Legion in Sellersburg. He loved traveling, camping, fishing, frog gigging, and his passion was building and restoring cars.
Survivors include, his loving wife of 59 years, Libby Fabel of Henryville; one son, Steven (Melinda) Fabel of New Palestine, IN; one daughter, Dora (Lee) Klinstiver of New Albany, IN; four grandsons, Ryan Fable, Kyle Fable, Michael Fable, Justin Hester; two great grandsons, Lane David Hester, Sloan Ryder Hester; one brother, James (Bonita) Fabel of Jeffersonville, IN; two sisters, Gladys Louise (Henry) Tarven of Sellersburg, IN, Barbara (Jerry) Lewis of New Albany, IN.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Brian Fabel on June 29, 2008, one brother, Clyde Fabel, two sisters, Violet Byers and Doris Crone
Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m.Saturday, May 26, 2018 at The Moose Lodge #1757, 1040 S. Indiana Ave, Sellersburg, IN. Friends and family can gather between 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. for the life celebration. The American Legion will conduct Military rites following the memorial service. A reception with food & fellowship will follow the military service at the moose.
The family has requested donations be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project c/o Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 209 S. Ferguson, St., Henryville, IN 47126.
