Rebecca Susan "Becki" Rucker, of Henryville, Indiana, born November 28, 1958, in Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Becki was a remarkable woman, cherished for her kind heart, generosity, and vibrant spirit. She was 66 years old.

Becki dedicated her life to helping others and serving her community. She held various impactful roles throughout her career, including as a manager at Bell South, Community Engagement Manager at the Kids Center for Pediatric Therapy, Regional Donor Director at Metro United Way, and Director of Development at Christian Academy of Indiana. Her professional life reflected her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.

A proud graduate of Henryville High School, Class of 1976, Becki's love for her community extended to her lifelong memberships at Henryville United Methodist Church (1989-2013) and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (2013-present). She was an active participant in Bible studies and a source of spiritual guidance for many.

On October 1, 1989, Becki married the love of her life, Anthony A. Rucker, at Henryville United Methodist Church. Their 36 years of marriage and 42 years together were a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.

Becki found joy in spending time with her family, nurturing her garden, and preparing meals for those in need. She delighted in playing card games and dominos with loved ones and brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. Her generous spirit and beautiful soul left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony A. "Tony" Rucker of Henryville, IN; children, Tia M. Rucker of Fort Payne, AL, and Dr. Alan Rucker of Morehead, KY; her grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Laws; and her great-grandson, Sawyer Laws. Becki was preceded in death by her parents, Earl E. Coombs Sr. and Rebecca June (Lyles) Coombs; her son, John Edward Rucker; and her brother, Earl Edward Coombs Jr.

Pastor Terry Lanoue will conduct funeral services on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Henryville, IN with a graveside service to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday December 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday December 28 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
