Henryville, Indiana - Richard "Rick" Allen Harvey, 63, of Henryville, IN, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 9:07 p.m. at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Born on June 3, 1955 in Louisville, Ky, he was the son of late Theodore "Ted" Harvey and Norma (Davis) Harvey, who survives in Clarksville, IN.

On April 16, 1977 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Henryville, IN, he married Joan (Higdon) Harvey, who survives in Henryville, IN.

Rick graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1973 where he was the star quarterback for the football team and the starting quarterback on the team that defeated New Albany for the first time in history. Rick was a former employee at The United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was born and raised Southern Baptist. He loved coaching little league football for many years in Henryville and enjoyed carpentry work, woodworking, golfing, sports, and fishing.

Other survivors include one son, Scott (Kate) Harvey of Greenwich, CT; two grandchildren, Theodore and Caroline Harvey; two sisters, Susan Herschel of Clarksville, IN and Patricia Harvey of MS.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Harvey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville with burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home in Henryville and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville.
