Robert Charles Caesar (Bob) Obituary

Robert Charles "Bob" Caesar, 71, of New Albany, IN passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. He was born on October 30, 1950 in New Albany to the late Robert and Kathryn Caesar. Bob was the former owner and operator of J.O. Endris Jewelers and a longtime New Albany City Council member. Bob was a board member of the New Albany Redevelopment Authority, Indiana University Advisory Board, Develop New Albany, Art Council of Southern Indiana, One Southern Indiana, YMCA Pace Setting Committee, Harvest Homecoming, Historic Kiwanis of New Albany, Caesars Foundation, Silver Hills Neighborhood Association, and the Silver Hills Historic Society, where he was the co-director for 10 years. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Caesar.

Bob is survived by his son, Scott Caesar (Cindy); sisters, Carol Longest (Gary), Betsy Bishop and Jackie Warman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany. His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.

The family requests expressions of sympathy to Hosparus of Southern Indiana, Holy Family Catholic Church, or American Heart Association.
