Cibolo, TX - Robert Carl Vest, 80, of Cibolo, TX, peacefully passed away at 2:39 am on June 10, 2025, in Mission Viejo, California from congestive heart failure.

Born on January 30, 1945, Robert lived a full life marked by warmth and a joyful spirit. He was a loyal and caring friend who was known for his kind nature and good sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. His love for dancing was a cherished part of who he was. Before retiring, Robert was a hard-working man who was employed for many years in the manufacturing industry before becoming owner of The Alamo Paper Tube Company.

Robert is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Marie Vest Kulmer and her husband, Bruce Kulmer, and his sister, Nancy Vest Nesmith, and her husband, Bill Nesmith. He also leaves behind his niece, Kirsten Kulmer, and her partner, Ralph Kravitz, along with her sons, Sebastien Kulmer-Firer, and his fiancée, Alexandra Touch, Maximilien Kulmer-Firer, and Brandon Kulmer-Garza; His niece, Megan Hayes DiPesa, and her husband, David DiPesa, and their daughter Ashli Maddux and her husband David Maddux and their three young daughters; His nephew, Michael, and wife Amber, and their daughter Kaelin; His niece Andrea, and her children Nicole, Joseph, and Conner; His nephew Kyle Ouzts and his spouse JC Nixon; His niece, Kelly Nesmith. His cousins Sharon Basham Veeneman and Donna Basham Hoffer also mourn his passing.

Robert was preceded in death by his life partner Robert Rone, mother Josie E. Basham, father Carl Vest, sister Gloria Ouzts and brother Michael Ouzts.

Funeral services will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Henryville, IN, followed by the burial service at Forest Grove Cemetery in Borden, IN.
