New Albany, Indiana - Robin Lynn Hammond, 71, passed away Saturday May 30, 2026 at Norton Hospital. She was the former Robin Zenor, born in New Albany to the late Shay and Mary Zenor. She was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School, Class of 1973, and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Education from Indiana University Southeast. After graduation, she was hired as a school teacher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School for thirty-one years, 29 of which was in teaching kindergarten, and she was also a former Jazzercise Instructor.

Robin is survived by her husband of 53 years: David E. Hammond, her sister: Suzanne Cavallo and Suzanne's son Shay Mallory, her brother-in-law: Doug Hammond and his wife Diana and their kids: Bart Hammond(Jennifer) and Danielle Woods.

A Celebration of Robin's life will be held at 4 PM Friday June 5, 2026 at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E. Market St.) Visitation will be from 11 AM - 4 PM Friday before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help end the fight against breast cancer.
