Sellersburg, Indiana - Roger D. Geary, 84, of Sellersburg, entered Eternal Life on November 25, 2025.

Roger was born on October 8, 1941, in Echols, Kentucky, to the late Hartford and Hettie Geary and was a member of Speed Memorial Church.

Roger joined the Navy in 1958 and spent four years aboard the Destroyer ship, USS Harlan R. Dickson. He then worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at the Indiana Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, Indiana, until his retirement in 2001.

Roger was a member of the Sellersburg American Legion Post 204, Sellersburg Moose Lodge and the New Albany VFW.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death in 2011 by his loving wife of 38 years, Shirley Hatfield Geary.

Roger leaves behind his sons, Donald A. Geary of Bradenton, Florida, Greg (Tami) Gibson of Charlestown, Indiana, and a granddaughter, Hannah Christine (Charles) Allen of Jeffersontown, Kentucky. Roger is also survived by his brother, Mike, of Louisville, Kentucky, as well as three other brothers, a sister, and many beloved friends.

Roger's visitation will be held December 1, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
