Greenville, Indiana - Roy Charles Kruer, age 90, died peacefully in his sleep, early Wednesday morning, December 3, 2025, in Clarksville, Indiana. He was born August 20, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana to Joseph P. and Eleanor Roberts Kruer. He is preceded in death by his parents and six of his seven siblings: William, Wilfred, Robert (Sylvia), Ronald (Judy),and Mary Jane Kruer and Betty Koetter, as well as his son Wayne and son-in-law Roger Harbeson. Roy is survived by his wife of 67 years Kathleen Beach Kruer; his brother Jerry (Brenda); his children Karen Kruer Harbeson, Brian (Jenny); his five grandchildren, Audrey Harbeson (Kevin) Andres, Patrick (Jessica) Harbeson, David (Abbi) Harbeson, Ariana Kruer, and Bryce Kruer; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, December 10, at Kraft Funeral Home, 708 E Spring St, New Albany, IN, with a rosary service at 7:30 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, December 11, at St Michael Catholic Church, 11400 Farmer's Lane, Greenville, IN 47124, with burial in the church cemetery afterward.
