Ruth M Ernst
Ruth M. Ernst, 90, of New Albany, passed away October 21, 2019 at Faiths Mini Home. She was born on December 8, 1928 in Oaktown, Indiana to the late Raymond D. and Geneva B. Smith. She was the owner of Ruth's Studio for over 35 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl W. Smith and a sister, Alice Bowdenstad.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, John R. Ernst and a son, Robert D. Ernst.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street with private burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.

So sorry to hear about Ruth. I was in her ceramic class, and loved every minute of it. She was a very talented lady. I have been out of town, just got back last night. So sorry I missed her service.

I feel like the most blessed person for have known Ruth for over 36 years. She brought out a talent in me I never new I had. She was a wonderful listner, talented artist, love giving lady, and so much more. I'm truly lost without her. I have her with me, as so many members of my family also due. Her talent will always live on in so many ways.

So many wonderful memories as Ruth got us through ceramics. She was so patient and kind. Have missed her since class ended and am reminded every time I pull out something I made. Her talents live throughout NA and farther.

Ruth was and will always remain in my heart,she was the sweetest persons I have ever met. I loved her as if she was my own mother. Ruth was the smartest person when it came to paints and ceramics. Ruth will be forever missed dearly

So sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. I had so much fun learning the art of ceramics from Ruth. We sure had a lot fun and endless laughs in her basement. Ruth was a fine person and I will always remember her kindness and talent and willingness to teach us all. Prayers and hugs, Jack.

RIP Ruth have missed her not only was she a client she was a close friend. Jack you have our condolences from Together Again Salon we have missed her
