New Albany, Indiana - Shirley A. LaDuke, 87, passed away Sunday June 14, 2026 at the Villages of Silvercrest. She was born in New Albany to the late Ruth and Luther Albertson. She was the marketing manager for the Little Brownie Bakers Company for many years and ultimately retired from there. She was a member of Graceland Baptist Church. Besides her parents Luther and Ruth, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur LaDuke, her dad: Frank Monroe and her brother: Dan Albertson and his wife Janet.

Shirley found joy in cooking and hosting, filling her home with good food and even better company. A gifted cook and enthusiastic foodie. She embraced every flavor the world had to offer and would happily try a bite of anything, no matter how unexpected.

She enjoyed her time with the Graceland Wednesday morning prayer group and many high school reunion committee meetings through the years.

Survivors include: her son Steven LaDuke and his wife Chris, her grandchildren: Isaac Javorka and Eastman LaDuke, her brother-in-law: Jack LaDuke and his wife Linda, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E. Market St.) from 11 AM - 2:30 PM Tuesday June 23, 2026 followed with burial at SCI-Graceland Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Floyd County Animal Rescue League.
