Sidney Eugene Ballard was born July 19, 1962 in Ray, Arizona to Georgia Schmitt and to the late Nathan Hunt. He departed his life on Friday, May 17, 2019 at his residence. He accepted Christ at an earlier age and was a member of Pearl Baptist Church. He started ABL Disposal and loved working and helping people every day of his life. He was a simple man but loved to work and take care of his loving family. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs. But most importantly he Loved God. His door was always open to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor, he never meet a stranger. He was a fan of music and one of his favorite artist was Eddie Money. His heart's desires was to see his children happy and successful in life.

He leaves behind his loving mother and his two daughters Bethany Ballard and Linsey Ballard and two sons Andrew Ballard and Anthony Skaggs. Sidney had a very special person Ed Smith in his life from an early childhood that raised him as his own son and helped him along his way.

Visitation will be held at Spring Valley Funeral & Cremation Services, 1217 East Spring Street, New Albany, IN 47150 Thursday, May 23, 2019, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and services to follow Friday at 12 noon.
