Tucson, AZ - Susan Pusey Walker, 79, passed away April 28, 2026. Born June 26, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was raised in Clarksville, Indiana.

Susan graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in fine arts and later earned a Master of Social Work degree. A child of the 1960s, she embraced ideals of peace, social justice, and community. She lived on a commune in Bloomington in the late 1960s and later moved with her daughter to Boudhanath, Nepal, where she taught at Tribhuvan University and immersed herself in Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Returning to southern Indiana, Susan devoted her career to nonprofit and community service work, advocating for underserved populations through leadership, planning, and grant writing roles with several regional organizations. She also served as president of the Southern Indiana American Cancer Society and was named Clarksville Business and Professional Women's "Woman of the Year" in 1985. In 1994, she was appointed a charter representative to the Ohio River Greenway Commission.

Susan was a passionate advocate for equality and vulnerable communities, a gifted artist and musician, and an avid gardener who loved folk, bluegrass, and 1950s-60s music.

She will be remembered for her creativity, compassion, and lifelong commitment to helping others. Susan is survived by her brother, Winford H. Walker Jr.; her sister, Rebecca E. Walker; and her daughter, Dr. Sara H. Kellogg. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph F. Kellogg.
